The customer originally had a 1970s mahogany staircase handrail and balustrade that wasn’t in keeping with their 400-year-old cottage. Using the customer’s own design, I crafted a new handrail and balustrade that better suited the period style of the home, blending traditional craftsmanship with their vision to create a timeless, characterful feature.

The customer’s bothy was damaged by a fallen tree, causing significant harm to the roof, cedar shingles, and supporting pillars. I carried out the repairs using timber cut and milled on the estate from other fallen trees, maintaining the building’s integrity and character. The exterior decorative detailing was carefully reconstructed and replaced to match the original, restoring its former charm with materials sourced entirely on-site.

I brought their design to life, custom-building the piece to match the existing kitchen style and finishes, ensuring it blended in perfectly while discreetly correcting the visual imbalance of the space.
